Finance & T/CIO Chief Data Office - Data Science Associate

Join the team that sits within the Corporate Finance & T/CIO Chief Data Office as part of the Corporate Controllers organization!As a Data Science Associate, within the Data Owner team, you will be expected to support processes and procedures that identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the data life cycle, in compliance with Firmwide policies and standards. Job Responsibilities:Assist in capturing and documenting metadata and classifiers for critical data, ensuring understanding of impacts on data providers and consumers; Ensure data is machine readable for AI readinessCollaborate with technology and Product Owner team to ensure data sourcing, content and quality meet established requirementsPartner with technology teams to capture data sources, formats, and data flows so that data can be validated for downstream analytics and reportingMaintain comprehensive documentation of data models, structures, and processes.Coordination with Firmwide CDO for evolving Firmwide Risk processes and standards Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, supporting overall data strategy initiativesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related fieldExperience in data management, data governance, risk management / analytics or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem solving skills, with desire to submerge into the detail of a topic, issue or deliverable to understand the underlying conceptAbility to work collaboratively with technology and business teamsKnowledge of basic SQL or other data querying languagesExperience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience with AI tooling, such as training chat assistants, writing instructions Preferred Qualifications:Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferredFamiliarity with data governance tools and platformsBasic understanding of Traditional Credit products (loans, deposits, cash) and Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
