Maintenance Mechanic

salary: $70,000 - $72,800 per year

Responsibilities

• Use digital multimeters to troubleshoot AC/DC electrical circuits, control panels, transformers, and power supplies up to 480V.

• Inspect, repair, replace, and align mechanical drive gears, bearings, bushings, web rollers, doctor blade assemblies, and plate cylinders.

• Maintain, calibrate, and rebuild rotary and flatbed die-cutting stations, magnetic cylinders, anvil rolls, stripper plates, and impression pressure blocks.

• Rebuild and troubleshoot pneumatic cylinders, solenoid valves, air lines, pressure regulators, and hydraulic pumps used for impression and web tension control.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic to diagnose issues with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), relays, and contactors.

• Inspect, calibrate, and replace photo-eyes, proximity sensors, fiber-optic sensors, web-guiding controls, and rotary encoders for precise print registration.

• Troubleshoot and service AC/DC motors, servo motors, step drives, and controller boards driving plate cylinders, anilox rolls, and converting units.

• Maintain critical safety controls including E-stop circuits, safety relays, interlocks, and light curtains in compliance with OSHA and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standards.
