As an experienced Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. You will work on a variety of systems including fire alarms, smoke detectors, and other life-safety devices, ensuring they are functioning correctly to protect lives and property.Responsibilities:Ensure customers are serviced at the highest level of satisfaction through quality courteous service, and by applying experience, knowledge and training.Perform periodic inspections and testing of fire alarm systems.Perform preventative maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems.Troubleshoot false alarms, ground faults, and troubles.Install fire alarm devices to include termination and programming.Provide detailed feedback on deficiencies and necessary repairs.Present a neat, professional appearance and demeanor.Maintain high level of service and quality upon which our business has been built.Required participation in the on-call rotationUtilizes an online scheduling calendar to receive and understand the individual scheduled tasks, customer locations, and maintain other company documents as required (timesheets, safety audits, etc.)Turn in required paperwork in a timely manner.Maintain equipment, supplies and company vehicle in good working order.Stay current with code requirements, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications/Education/Experience Expectations:Good verbal / written communication & Customer service skills to clearly and concisely communicate with customersMechanical & Math AptitudeDemonstrated ability to read and comprehend schematicsDemonstrated ability to use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and programmersExceptional computer & Apple IOs skillsProfessional and OrganizedHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience with Fire Sprinkler, Fire Extinguisher, or Special Hazards a plusCertificates, Licenses and Registrations:Valid Driver's LicenseNICET Fire Alarm Certification (NICET II preferred)Minimum five years' experience in the fire alarm / sprinkler industry, including installation, service and testing of commercial & industrial fire alarm systemsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Physical ability to lift 50 poundsIndustrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heightsMostly a physical demanding role.
