High Pressure Boiler Operator-Building Operations & Maint

Job Description Summary Conducts preventative maintenance and operates high pressure boilers to generate steam for heating and power generation. Essential Functions Inspect, clean, lubricate, paint, and repair high‑pressure boilers and associated mechanical equipment using safe and efficient processes, adhering to all policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections of the boiler and its components to identify and address any issues. Work with and schedule inspectors for annual shutdowns. Test and conduct analyses of water quality and other associated equipment to maintain efficient operations of steam systems. Record and maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, including pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption. Clean and maintain the boiler and its components to prevent corrosion and buildup of sediment and scale. Respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies or malfunctions that may occur during boiler operation. Education and Licensure Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, required. State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator License, required. Professional Experience Three years of experience working with High Pressure Boilers. Experience with advanced control systems, preferred. Physical Requirements Occasionally: Bend/twist, Biohazard waste, Flexing/extending of neck, Fume/gases/vapors, Power tools, Reaching above shoulder, Sitting, Squat/kneel. Frequently: Audible speech, Climb stairs/ladder, Color vision, Computer skills, Depth perception, Hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, Hearing acuity, Lifting/carrying: 0-10 lbs, 11-20 lbs, 21-40 lbs, 41-60 lbs, 61-100 lbs, Machinery, Peripheral vision, Repetitive hand/arm use, Seeing – far/near, Standing, Walking.
