Account Executive (Inside Sales)

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine customers’ needs by gathering information needed to prepare rate quotes.
• Maintain records of verbal and written contacts with current customers and/or prospects in a manner consistent with established company guidelines.
• Complete applicable paperwork in a manner consistent with established company guidelines.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Solicit and acquire new accounts by contacting prospects directly, occasionally.
• Utilize company software for various customer service functions such as to determine mileage, enter new customers, enter rates, and update customer information.
• Travel to and meet with current customers and/or prospects, occasionally.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Internet
• Working knowledge of multi-line phone system and office machines, such as fax machine and copier
• Three to five years related experience, trucking industry preferred
• Must have highly effective negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively with a wide-variety of people
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
• Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken work and to communicate clearly and concisely in writing
• Ability to take care of customer’s needs while following company procedures
• Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures
