Branch Manager Regular Full Time Management Asheville, NC, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 3137 Level of Contribution = Self & Others Job Description for: Branch Manager – Branch Locations Sid Harvey’s an HVAC wholesale distributor of heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment and products is seeking a full‑time HVAC Branch Manager for its North Carolina Location. Summary: Manage and oversee branch personnel, supervise branch operations, and ensure efficient operation on a day‑to‑day basis. Improve productivity and streamline branch activities to maximize results and achieve peak performance levels. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders. Answer questions and provide information as needed. Generate sales through excellent customer service, add‑on and up‑selling. Perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner, while representing Sid Harvey’s in a professional manner. Reports To: Regional or Territory Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the store P&L assuring sales and profitability targets are being met. Maintain an accurate perpetual inventory. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support branch forecast. Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect. Promptly assist customers at counter. Ask pertinent questions, provide information they may need, take orders and provide excellent customer service. Handle all warranties in a timely manner. Ensure the branch is in compliance with all company policies and procedures. Maintain petty cash and make timely bank deposits. Perform annual performance staff reviews. Demonstrate sound personnel practices regarding the hiring, on‑boarding, training, development and management of all store employees. Report all personnel issues to Human Resources. Report all workers comp injury or auto accidents to the Fleet Manager. Effectively promote MITCO and Sid Harvey Manufactured and Remanufactured products as selling tools towards customer up‑selling. Follow‑up on customer orders, resolve problems to the customer’s satisfaction, respond timely to customer. Demonstrate knowledge of Sid Harvey products (i.e. Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating) to meet customer’s needs. Continuously update product knowledge through any available resources. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know location of merchandise in warehouse. Effectively communicate to customers any relevant policies and/or procedures regarding purchases, returns, credit terms, etc. Responsible for maintaining the appearance of branch as needed, straightening, cleaning counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc. Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules. Inform Regional Manager of any potentially hazardous conditions. Accurately perform cycle counts as required. Responsible for the year‑end physical inventories and any other physical inventories as requested. Assist Outside Sales Personnel in identifying new customers to increase profitable sales. Perform other responsibilities as directed. Must pass a drug test, credit and background search. Abilities and Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; carry and or reach. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks. Education: High School Graduate or equivalency diploma required.
