Cloud Engineer

Salary: $208,000 - 249,600 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of professional cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• We expect hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable tools.
• We look for depth in at least one area such as networking, containers, serverless, or cost optimization.
• We need strong written English skills for documenting architecture choices and operational reasoning.
• We require availability for a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
• Preferred: certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP Professional.
• Preferred: experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Preferred: multi-cloud exposure or experience with large-scale migrations.

• We author realistic cloud scenarios, spanning architecture design through incident response.
• We write reference answers that explain the architectural reasoning behind each decision.
• We grade model outputs for correctness, security, and cost efficiency.
• We identify configurations that may look plausible but would fail or become too expensive in production.

This is a fully remote, asynchronous role with ongoing work and weekly hours set by you. We offer competitive compensation of $100 to $120 per hour based on experience, and the position is remote.
