CNC MachinistESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:General programming and operation of CNC machines to manufacture parts per drawings or instructions.Operation of manual mill and lathe machinesInspects all parts so that specified dimensions are met using micrometers, calipers or other devices.Gets correct tooling for the job, sets up machine correctly.Maintains a high level of workmanship.Helps advance skills of lower level CNC machinists.Maintains work area and keeps machines clean.Makes offsets and edits with no supervision.Meets daily/weekly production quotasPerform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.Attended and contribute to R&D design reviewsOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Mentor other employees and machinistVisualizes and studies blueprintsAssists lesser skilled CNC OperatorsSet up and operate EDM MachineAbility to contribute to the team's successAttention to detailCritical thinking skillsExercises good judgementOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma or GEDTrained in programming and operating CNC machines, or equivalent work experienceMinimum 5 years' experience in programming and operating CNC/Manual machinesExperience with CNC, calipers, micrometers and height gaugesBasic computer skillsMust have basic mathematical skills and additional skills in geometry and trigonometryVerbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasksAbility to follow detailed and complex instructionsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Frequent bending, standing, walking, kneeling, reaching and climbingRepetitive motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck movementReadingUse of vibrating toolsHearing and speaking clearlyOccasional lifting/carrying up to 50lbs.Lifting from floor to waist/waist to shoulderPushing/pulling forces up to/over 40 lbs.Reaching from shoulder level or belowSeeing to distinguish colors, visually inspect items and to measure/assemble at a close distanceUse of power tools and machineryWORK ENVIRONMENT/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:Exposure to smoke/dustBright environment or lightingSAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive Position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this position.
