The Nest is one of the city’s most iconic rooftop bars, nestled atop the Thompson Seattle hotel. It offers unmatched panoramic views of Elliot Bay and the Olympic Mountains. The Nest offers an unforgettable experience with tantalizing bites and refreshing libations made with seasonal ingredients highlighting the Pacific Northwest, and hosts intimate tastings, DJ nights and more. We’re looking for a host who embodies a warm and inviting atmosphere, creating memorable first impressions and ensuring every guest feels welcome. You’ll thrive in a team‑oriented environment, managing seating arrangements, greeting guests with genuine hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences through personalized interactions, menu recommendations and smooth front‑of‑house operations. The seasonal employment period is anticipated to commence in mid‑May and conclude at the end of September. Exact dates may vary depending on business needs. Holiday Pay is available for full‑time colleagues for the city’s recognized holidays. Wage Information The hourly rate for this position starts at $23.37 with a $0.50 increase after 90 days. An additional $0.50 increases apply for five‑, seven‑, and ten‑year tenure milestones. Pay ranges are listed on each job posting individually. Qualifications Exceptional communication skills—warmly greet guests and provide a positive first impression. Customer‑service orientation—demonstrated experience delivering excellent service, anticipating guest needs and resolving concerns. Organizational skills—manage seating arrangements efficiently and maintain smooth guest flow. Menu knowledge and recommendations—familiar with restaurant menus and able to make personalized suggestions. Adaptability—maintain a welcoming and composed demeanor in a fast‑paced, high‑traffic environment. Team player—collaborate well with servers, kitchen staff and management. Attention to detail—ensure all guest interactions are positive from arrival to departure.
