About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Financial Planning and Strategy to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and strategic decision support initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping the institution's long-term financial direction and requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of working within an academic environment. Key responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, institutional modeling, financial reporting, and strategic finance. The Vice President will also be involved in treasury, cash flow, and financial operations, and will be expected to lead and develop the FP&A and Student Accounts teams. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in higher education finance, a strong understanding of faculty partnerships, academic budgeting, and enrollment-driven revenue models. They should possess an extensive background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning, and have experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and Boards. Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities are essential, and experience with ERP systems and business intelligence/reporting platforms is preferred. The role demands an individual with exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive presence, who is capable of operating at both strategic and operational levels, and who can foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture across departments.
