Silver Spring, MD Pay From: $45 per hour

MUST: The Vascular Technologist will have experience: Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT) Certificate, Associates, or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Experience troubleshooting ultrasound equipment

Duties:

• Responsible for the schedule of all technologists
• Oversee multiple locations to ensure the level of patient care is up to standards
• Hire and train all new technologists
• Perform vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team
• Scheduling patients for procedures
• Explaining procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results
• Positioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer
• Conducting scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving scanner over specified body area and adjusting equipment to focus
• Performs exams properly and in a timely manner
• Takes patient history and retrieves previous files
• Coordinates patient flow and checks daily list to ensure all exams are complete
• Traveling to additional locations as needed
