Open Position Fixed‑Term (9 months) position located at the main Cullowhee campus, with anticipated start date August 2026. This role invites candidates with teaching and professional expertise in one or more of the following areas: Geotechnical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or Construction Engineering. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate civil engineering courses and design integrated, project‑based learning experiences. Engage in collaborative initiatives for partnerships with K‑12 schools, community colleges, government agencies, and industry. Provide student advising and mentoring, plan and lead outreach activities, organize and mentor student clubs and organizations. Participate in service to the School, College, and University, including potential summer courses and other outreach efforts. Qualifications Minimum: Earned Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Professional engineering licensure and registration. University‑level teaching experience. Professional civil engineering design and/or construction–related experience.
