Maintenance TechnicianManufacturing Full time Americas - North America - United States - Alsip - ACD Alsip ILRepair and maintain a variety of facilities, production, and building equipment, along with related work involved in maintaining the building.Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on equipment and facilitiesMaintain control and motor systemsDiagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective partsPerform basic welding and fabrication as neededSupport & comply with safety & environmental guidelinesCommunicate daily with Production and Shipping ManagersCommunicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance teamDrive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operationsResearch and purchase parts as needed for machine break downs and/or spare parts replacementImprove machine up time by ensuring all CM's and PM's are properly performed and documented in MaintainXOther duties as assignedQualificationsBasic math skillsGood English language skillsWelding skillsGood communication skillsAbility to troubleshoot & solve problemsAdvanced manufacturing mechanical experienceAdvanced manufacturing controls and wiring experienceStrong mechanical knowledgeStrong electrical knowledgeBasic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagramsMS Office literateNo fear of heightsPrior experience working in a manufacturing environmentPrior process machinery trouble shootingEducation High School Diploma or equivalentPhysical DemandsRegularly required to stand, walk, communicate, see and hearRegularly required to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.Frequently climb towers up to 35 feet highRegularly required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch or bendStrong motor skillsThe information listed above is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described.We expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
