Job Responsibilities & RequirementsA Brief OverviewResponsible for leading and developing a team of engineers to meet productivity targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Provides engineering guidance and expertise to an engineering team composed of Component Designers, Engineering Interns, and possibly Professional Engineers.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the effective leadership of an engineering teamMentor team members and promote their professional growthDiscuss projects with other Supervisors or Engineers for compliance with company policies and proceduresReview customer and/or Product Management Team's specified parameters for building components.Creates and review parameters against engineering standardsDiscuss design modifications and reviews appropriate design methodologies with customers and/or Product Management Team'sAssists customers and/or Product Management Team's in troubleshooting issues and design problemsResolve customer and/or Product Management Team's complaintsMaintain harmony among workers and resolves grievancesHelp assigned customers to engineers and manages workload among engineersAnswer technical questions from customers and employeesSupport development of procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintainedLeadership Responsibilities:Responsible for the professional development of team members, play a key role to guide, coach, and provide constructive feedback to support team members to reach their full potential. Create a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, respect for diverse perspectives, and empower team members to excel in their roles.QualificationsBachelors Engineering required4+ Years of related engineering experience requiredExperience leading project and/or initiatives requiredEquivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basisLicensed Professional Engineer - Any State Board preferredSoft SkillsGood understanding of Statics and Strengths of Materials.Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.Active Listening - Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others.Technical Skills: Must have solid engineering/technical skills, including attention to detail.Safety: Must have an outstanding safety record and follow all safety policies and procedures.Quality: Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
