Manufacturing Test Technician

Become a vital part of our manufacturing team in Oak Ridge as a Manufacturing Test Technician, performing essential testing and quality assurance to ensure product excellence.

Under general supervision, you will execute electronic, mechanical, and functional testing processes according to Standard Operating Procedures and engineering documentation. Your role supports multiple product lines including Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Radiation Detection systems, ensuring products meet stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of mechanical parts, assemblies, and electronic components following manufacturing work instructions and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct rework and corrective actions as required to maintain product quality.
• Complete production, quality, and test documentation accurately for traceability and compliance.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of subassemblies and completed products.
• Support Engineering with assembly, integration, testing, and evaluation of prototype units and new product development.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a professional environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Experience testing mechanical parts and electronic components per manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to perform sub-assembly and process assembly inspections.
• Skill in testing and troubleshooting completed instruments through QA/QC processes.
• Proficiency in completing production and quality-related documentation.
• Ability to assist Engineering with prototype building and testing.
• Commitment to quality and engineering standards.
• Capability to inspect and document completed assembly work.
• Ability to meet work quotas while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
