Description
  • Conduct evaluations for patients in either inpatient or outpatient categories and develop personalized treatment strategies
  • Deliver physical therapy treatments aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
  • Work in collaboration with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to maximize patient outcomes
  • Provide education to patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, planning for discharge, and at-home exercise regimens
  • Record evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive patient care
Education
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent accredited degree
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • Additional specialized certifications (for instance, neurological or geriatric) are advantageous but not necessary
Skills
  • Preferred previous experience in the field
  • Ability to address patients with diverse medical and mobility challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency with digital charting and clinical record systems
