St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Dentist to join the Healthy Kids Express Dental Program, an innovative mobile outreach program dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to children throughout the St. Louis region. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with schools and community organizations while delivering care that truly changes lives.

• Two Dental Assistants
• Dedicated Van Driver

Practice Details

• Pediatric Dentistry Fellowship Required
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• First patient scheduled at 9:00 a.m.
• One community site per day
• Approximately 40-50 sites visited annually
• Occasional evening and weekend community events during outreach season

Role Purpose: Diagnose, prevent and treat problems with teeth or mouth tissue. This role must have a Pediatric Dentistry certificate from an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada and be eligible to be certified for a specialty license for pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities:

• Observes, evaluates, and applies knowledge of dental skills to provide optimal patient care. Diagnoses and renders appropriate dental care to patients. Fulfills dental consulting requests.
• Records all procedures and pertinent information in patients record.
• Trains, supervises and evaluates the work of clinic staff.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with superiors, associates, representatives of public agencies and organizations, and private health care providers.
• Educates individuals and their families regarding dental health hygiene.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Doctorate - DDS/DMD from accrdtd dntl sch

Experience: <2 years

Supervisor Experience: No Experience

Licenses & Certifications: American Dental Association, Licensed Dentist in Missouri

Preferred Requirements:

Experience: 5-10 years

Supervisor Experience: 2-5 years

Licenses & Certifications: Peds Dentistry Board elig/cert
