Genova Delicatessen is a family run Italian delicatessen with a menu of traditional family recipes, fresh bread made daily, cheeses, meats, hot and cold sandwiches, entrees, salads, soups and pastries. We are looking for an experienced full‑time cook familiar with Italian cooking to prepare deli ingredients and meals from our menu. Responsibilities Prep work (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.) Prepare full meals using various methods of cooking Follow previously developed recipes Bake bread and pastries Keep a sanitized and orderly kitchen Ensure proper food storage Check quality and stock of ingredients Requirements Previous experience as a cook (familiarity with Italian cooking a plus but not required) Knife skills and other utensil wielding Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work in a team Excellent communication skills Good physical condition and stamina Ability to lift heavy or awkward items/containers Ability to multi‑task Hourly Pay based on Experience.
