Application Architect - HybridGenesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.As an Application Architect, you will play a key role in modernizing the electronic trading capabilities of front-office trading systems. This role requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technology partners globally to deliver high-quality, scalable full-stack solutions.Responsibilities:Lead full-stack development with a focus on Java, ReactJS/TypeScript, Python, Oracle, and MongoDBCollaborate with regional and global technology teams to deliver strategic initiativesEngage with end-users to gather requirements and deliver user-centric solutionsDrive the strategic UI roadmap and contribute to modernization effortsDevelop robust, high-performance systems with strong maintainability and supportabilityPartner with compliance, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory alignmentProvide direct desk support and assist with critical projects impacting the Municipal trading businessRequirements:10+ years of hands-on Java development experience using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices5+ years of ReactJS/TypeScript development experienceStrong Oracle SQL and MongoDB NoSQL expertiseExperience building front-office trading applications within Fixed Income, Municipal Bonds, or Capital MarketsExperience with Agile/Scrum delivery and CI/CD pipelinesStrong understanding of trade capture, order management, and new issue processing workflowsStrong experience with enterprise tools and technologies such as AMPS messaging, OpenShift, and QuartzDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in strategy development and business analysisIndustry experience in Markets Front-Office Trading environmentsAbility to work independently and as part of a global teamDesired Skills:Experience in Capital Markets / Trading platforms (Equities, Fixed Income, or regulatory-driven systems)Strong understanding of Unix/Linux, Splunk, Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Kafka, Redis, or ElasticsearchExperience with platform modernization (e.g., legacy upgrades, cloud adoption)Dependency management across applications and infrastructureExposure to AI-enabled tools for planning, reporting, or requirements analysisAbility to identify process improvements, standardize delivery practices, and reduce operational frictionPay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
