Part-time Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) - Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital

Mt. Yonah Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Care Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients and patients, the receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, supportive, and professional environment for both pets and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally.
• Answer multi-line phones and respond to inquiries courteously.
• Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately.
• Check clients in and out while maintaining accurate records.
• Communicate hospital policies, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions clearly.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Process payments and balance cash drawer daily.
• Handle prescription refill requests and client communications.
• Coordinate with doctors and technicians to ensure smooth appointment flow.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception and lobby area.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary or medical front desk experience preferred.
• Strong customer service background required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency (veterinary software experience a plus).
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Comfort working in an environment with animals of all sizes and temperaments.

Schedule

Rotating Saturdays and 1-2 weekdays
