Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become part of our team, focusing on medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. This position entails conducting targeted, in-person physical examinations and electronically reviewing medical records to fulfill the necessary documentation for the VA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
• Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
• Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required forms for the VA.
• Offer medical opinions based on your assessment findings.

It is important to note that disability decisions are made by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and not by the healthcare provider.

Caseload

Manage a caseload of 3-5 Veterans daily.

Provided Equipment

• All necessary documentation tools, including a computer.

Qualifications

• A compassionate provider dedicated to assisting the Veteran community.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess medical records and evaluation data.
• Proficient in electronic documentation and navigating web-based portals.
• Professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.
• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
