Property Manager

We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing communities in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position is with a Non-Profit organization and is ideal for a leader who can balance resident satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and portfolio performance. The role requires strong oversight of property operations, team leadership, and financial results across multiple sites while maintaining safe, well-kept communities.Responsibilities:• Direct portfolio-wide operations for multiple affordable housing communities, ensuring each site runs efficiently and aligns with performance goals.• Lead and support Community Managers and onsite teams through coaching, accountability, staff development, and day-to-day operational guidance.• Review financial activity across assigned properties, including budgeting, expense control, and overall operating results.• Maintain adherence to affordable housing requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations across the portfolio.• Oversee key property processes such as leasing transitions, resident certifications, inspections, and ongoing resident service standards.• Partner with maintenance and site leadership to preserve the condition, safety, and curb appeal of each community.• Contribute to staffing efforts by participating in recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and corrective action when needed.• Build effective working relationships with residents, vendors, property teams, and internal partners to support successful community operations.• Track deadlines, compliance deliverables, and operational benchmarks while resolving issues that may affect property performance.
