Personal Risk Specialist

Personal Risk Specialist The Personal Risk Specialist is an outside sales position focused on serving the unique insurance needs of affluent/high net worth clients. In addition to cross‑selling, the primary focus is business development, establishing additional sources of clients. Responsibilities Schedule appointments and visit high net worth individuals to understand their lifestyle, concerns, and insurance needs, providing consultative advice to tailor personal risk management solutions. Achieve annual new‑business sales goals within the target market. Develop lists of prospective centers of influence and lead sources for clients within the target group for the USI One Advantage. Penetrate assigned prospect targets using the Engagement Platform process with prospective partners such as lawyers, financial service professionals, realtors, and other affluent‑segment professionals. Identify and overcome sales obstacles on a prospect‑specific basis. Develop and deploy sales and marketing strategies and periodic communications to optimize USI's market position. Meet with external centers of influence to prospect, engage, and serve as a value‑added service to their clients. Build strong working relationships and win confidence of Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits production staff. Establish a trusted partnership and advisory relationship with clients and prospects. Support cross‑selling strategies for existing and new clients. Participate in, and as needed lead, meetings with existing and prospective clients. Maintain employee and prospect data, develop prospect lists, and record activity in USI CRM and sales tracking programs. Prepare proposals for Personal Risk Management clients and prospects, research and draft responses, and present personalized insurance programs. Provide flexibility in schedule, including some evening hours. Qualifications Minimum 3 years in High Net Worth or personal insurance sales or service. Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Experience in the personal lines insurance industry. Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time. Strong teamwork skills with minimal supervision. Highly motivated, goal‑oriented, and organized with a drive to achieve sales goals. Excellent customer service skills applicable to the sales process. Deep knowledge of carriers and the personal insurance marketplace. Commitment to the mutual objectives of the Personal Insurance Practice and Regional Office. College degree preferred; high‑school diploma or equivalent required. Active property‑casualty license required (or to be obtained within 60 days of hire). Proficiency in MS Office. Why USI?
