Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides urgent and emergency patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring high-quality treatment and patient safety. Collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver efficient and compassionate emergency services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity levels.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures including CPR, laceration repair, and STEMI care.
• Document patient information accurately using Philips EMR and Meditech systems.
• Support stabilization and transfer of critical patients, including thrombolytic therapy administration.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members regarding care plans and updates.
• Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and attend mandatory rotations and shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH, and TNCC certifications.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in trauma, cardiac, and orthopedic emergencies.
• Exhibit a positive personality with a team-oriented mindset.
• Be able to work 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM shifts on a 13-week travel assignment.
• Maintain valid licensure and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
