Our office is looking for a new dental assistant to join our team! In this role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols
• Take dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced imaging technology, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
• Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation during patient visits as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside support
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
• Experience with dental equipment operation such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, and 3D scanners
• Familiarity with patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, billing, and record keeping
• Ability to follow aseptic techniques and adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control policies
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
• Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry
