Partnering closely with the Head of Corporate Communications, Social & AR, you will be a strategic thought partner and own the execution of corporate communications, executive positioning, and crisis management.This is a role for a builder and a doer — someone equally comfortable drafting a CEO op-ed, managing a fast-moving media crisis, and coaching executives on message discipline, all in the same week. You will work directly with Gong's leadership team and be a trusted voice in decisions that shape company reputation at scale.ResponsibilitiesCorporate CommunicationsDevelop and drive Gong's global corporate narrative, ensuring alignment across leadership, product, and go-to-market teamsOwn earned media strategy for major announcements — corporate news, partnerships, product milestones, and industry leadership momentsShape and inform Gong's corporate messaging framework, ensuring consistency and differentiation in a competitive AI marketPartner cross-functionally with marketing, legal, HR, investor relations and more to align communications with business objectivesExecutive CommunicationsServe as primary communications strategist and ghostwriter for Gong's C-suite, including the CEO and senior leadership teamDevelop executive thought leadership programs across owned channels, media, and speaking platformsCreate compelling content, like op-eds, exec platforms, bylines, LinkedIn posts, talking points, and briefing materials, that authentically reflects each leader's voicePrepare executives for media interactions, interviews, and public appearances through media training and message coachingIdentify and secure meaningful speaking opportunities at tier-one industry events and business forumsCrisis CommunicationsLead development and ongoing management of Gong's crisis communications framework, protocols, and response playbooksSupport and serve as an internal escalation point and strategic counsel during reputational issues and sensitive business developmentsRapidly assess emerging threats, provide clear-eyed guidance to leadership, and drive swift, coordinated responsePartner with legal, HR, and executive teams on sensitive communications including workforce changes, competitive incidents, and regulatory mattersConduct post-incident reviews and embed learnings into updated protocols and organizational readinessStakeholder & Executive ManagementBuild trusted relationships with global executive stakeholders, acting as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders across the businessManage and prioritize competing executive communications requests with sound judgment and effective stakeholder managementDevelop and oversee global external agencies and vendor relationships, ensuring high performance and strategic alignmentMaintain a strong understanding of Gong's business, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to inform communications strategy in real timeContribute to department planning, budgeting, and measurement frameworks in partnership with the team leadQualifications10+ years of progressive communications experience, with significant time in corporate communications roles at high-growth technology companies or leading PR agencies serving tech clientsDemonstrated track record managing corporate communications programs at scale, including earned media strategy for major company milestonesProven experience as an executive communications strategist and ghostwriter, with a portfolio spanning multiple formats and leadership voicesDeep hands-on experience managing crisis communications — from early detection through resolution and post-incident reviewPrior experience working directly with and advising C-suite executives in a communications or advisory capacityExperience at or with a B2B SaaS, AI, or global enterprise technology company strongly preferredYou HaveExceptional written and verbal communications skills — among the sharpest writers in any room, with the ability to adapt voice, tone, and register across audiences and formatsOutstanding creative and media skills - you have a pulse of the trending market topics and understand how to tap into those across traditional and emerging mediumsSound strategic judgment; able to distill complex business situations into clear communications recommendations under pressureHigh emotional intelligence and executive presence — you can hold a room, earn trust quickly, and navigate competing stakeholder interests with professionalismStrong project management skills; able to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously without sacrificing qualityComfort operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with a bias toward action over perfectionPerks & BenefitsWe offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family's needs.Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle.Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching.401(k) program to help you invest in your future.Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development.Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend.Paid parental leave to support you and your family.Company-wide recharge days each quarter.Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.The annual salary hiring range for this position is $168,000 - $250,000 USD. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
