Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year of Experience Required License: Pending License Accepted Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Patient Ratio Experience: 3-4 on Days; 5-6 on Nights - Charting System Experience: Preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Telemetry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in the specialty. First-time travelers will be accepted. Weekend coverage is required every third weekend. The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs. Candidates should have experience managing patients with various cardiovascular conditions. Telemetry interpretation is required. The nurse will provide care for post-surgical patients, especially those recovering from CABG or valve procedures. Special procedures and equipment management include chest tubes and temporary pacemakers. Travel experience is required for this position. The daily census typically ranges from 26 to 32 patients. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Candidates must be proficient in the management and administration of cardiac drips and insulin protocols. Wound care experience is also beneficial for this role. All candidates should be prepared to comply with background and fingerprinting requirements as part of the hiring process.
