JOB LOCATION - Wilkes Barre General Hospital / Telemetry
JOB SHIFT - Per Diem
POSITION PURPOSE

The Licensed Practical Nurse consistently performs his/her duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Licensed Practical Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes
Clinical expertise, teaching/instructing, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgement
Ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care
Licenses/Certificates:
Current PA Practice Permit/ Registered Nurse license
BLS required, must be completed prior to the end of orientation period
