Job Details: Level: Entry | Job Location: Christ's Haven - Keller, TX 76244 | Position Type: Part Time | Education Level: High School | Salary Range: $15.12 - $20.46 Hourly Summary of Responsibilities Supervise and guard all swimming activities while in or around the pool at Clayton Adventure Camp. Teach floating and basic mechanics and help campers feel comfortable and safe in the water. General Duties Prevent, identify, and respond to accidents/incidents. Ensure safety of all swimmers while enforcing pool policies, rules, and regulations. Administer and respond to emergencies and provide care. Maintain active surveillance of the waterfront area. Perform general maintenance in and around the waterfront area. Assist Camp Coordinator/Staff with pool‑related responsibilities, including camper swim assessments. Follow all policies and procedures while guarding all swimmers and patrons. Follow all health, safety and regulatory compliance rules and requirements. Communicate supply needs to Camp Coordinator and Assistant Camp Coordinator. Attend all assigned training and in‑service sessions. Hold Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification. Exhibit exceptional swimming skills and understanding of fundamental strokes. Demonstrate swimming ability. Maintain positive relationships with campers and other camp staff. Prepare and provide reports as required. Report all accidents and incidents and suspected or known child abuse, neglect or endangerment to authorities. Normal hearing and vision range. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move about camp space. Lift people out of the pool and perform all lifeguard skills. Read text and information and comprehend instructions and manuals. Work Environment Work flexible schedules when necessary. Complete 30+ hours of paid training/professional development, occasionally out of the area. Remain alert with no lapses of consciousness. Environmental Conditions Noise level usually moderate. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Risk of exposure to childhood diseases.Attendance at field trips and waterparks with varying environmental conditions, heat, and weather. Qualifications Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organization and time‑management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Normal computer proficiency using Microsoft Office.
