Senior Cloud Data EngineerLocation: Durham North Carolina, Remote till CovidDuration: 12+ monthsThe Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required8+ years of total experience with 4+ years on data engineering in cloud native tools and technologiesStrong SQL knowledge and work experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQLProven experience implementing data solutions in AWS or Azure using ETL tools, queues, batch scheduling tools and various storage solutionsBackground in data analysis and data modelingData quality mind set and knowledge of techniques to ensure data qualityFamiliarity with Java technologies and REST servicesProven ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environmentsExperience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins, etc.Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environmentPassionate and open to learning new tools and developing with the latest technologies and frameworksBonus points for experience with:Data pipeline and streaming technologies: AirFlow, Kafka or KinesisCloud based Data Warehousing technologies: Snowflake, Azure Synapse or AWS RedshiftCertification on Cloud and cloud native data technologies
