Assistant General Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead the overall operations of a stand-alone business unit. This is a key leadership position responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, developing management teams, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring the location consistently meets or exceeds company goals.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, builds strong teams, identifies opportunities for improvement, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and operational results.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and provide leadership to plant and staff personnel.
• Manage and support multiple departments, including Warehouse, Office Administration, Route Distribution, Customer Service, and Outside Sales.
• Train, mentor, and develop management and supervisory personnel.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, training, and operational standards are consistently followed.
• Manage company assets, including the building, equipment, fleet, inventory, and accounts receivable.
• Monitor inventory, collections, and overall financial performance.
• Support customer service, sales, marketing, and community relations initiatives.
• Participate in budgeting, P&L management, employee evaluations, presentations, and goal setting.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively and follow up to ensure results.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance.
• Represent the company professionally within the community.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.

• Understanding of a production or product-based environment.
• Knowledge of products, equipment, and general business operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Comfortable using technology and the internet for internal and external communication.
• Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with employees and management at all levels.
• Self-starter who recognizes and takes advantage of opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience required.
• Four-year degree preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of experience managing business operations.
• Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen when required.
• Strong leadership presence and a high level of energy.
• Proven ability to manage multiple departments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
