Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Production / Technical Support II to join their team. As a Production / Technical Support II, you will be part of the Global Markets technology support team supporting front office trading applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)
Position type: 10+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion as FTE
Max Pay Range: $42.69/hr on W2
What's the Job?
- Provide front-line technical support for equities derivatives swaps trading platforms and related applications.
- Manage application platform monitoring, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to ensure system stability and resiliency.
- Lead incident and problem management activities, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Support onboarding of new applications and coordinate with global teams to maintain platform stability.
- Collaborate with peers to deploy stable releases and improve platform performance through innovative solutions.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in application support or development within a global trading environment.
- Strong technical skills including Linux, SQL, Python, Java, and messaging platforms.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and ITRS Geneos.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles, SDLC processes, and support coordination with offshore/onshore teams.
- Good understanding of the Global Markets technology ecosystem and equities asset class trade flows.
