Job Description Cognos Administrator
Charlotte, NC
6 months - hybrid onsite 3 days in office/2 days remote
Contract/W-2 Only - THIS IS NOT OPEN FOR CTC Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience administering IBM Cognos
- 5+ years Windows server administration skills- must be familiar with install on Windows
- 1+ years experience with Apache - fundamental understanding to support integrations
- Must have a foundation in basic networking (DNS, ports, firewalls)
- 3+ years scripting - Python scripting is ideal
- 1 year with GitHub (version control and collaboration) - nice to have
- Install, upgrade, and administer IBM Cognos on Windows
- Support Cognos integrations with Apache
- Troubleshoot performance, availability, and production issues
- Develop Python scripts to automate administrative tasks
- Use GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Apply basic networking concepts (DNS, ports, firewalls)
- Maintain documentation and operational procedures
