Role Profile You’re an experienced and passionate construction professional with a desire to lead pre‑construction efforts that drive exceptional results. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Partner with project teams to plan and strategise during the pre‑construction phase. Review drawings to identify potential constructability issues, value engineering opportunities, and accurate scopes of work, driving necessary corrections or changes. Lead subcontractor bid processes to ensure consistency in scope, project details, logistics, and timelines. Develop comprehensive project schedules that enable accurate estimating and procurement. Prepare and update project budgets throughout client acquisition and project initiation phases. Present proposals and budgets to clients in a professional and engaging manner, tailored to their preferences. Ensure project profitability, client satisfaction, and the engagement of high‑quality subcontractors. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure a client‑first approach. Key Measures Successful delivery of projects within budget, on schedule, and with exceptional client satisfaction. Accurate and detailed project budgets that align with client expectations and project goals. Strong, mutually beneficial relationships with subcontractors that enhance project outcomes. Effective management of pre‑construction processes, ensuring seamless project transitions. About you 5–7 years of experience in construction estimating, ideally focused on commercial projects. Comprehensive understanding of local markets, subcontractors, and trade‑specific requirements. Expertise in scoping, analysing, and managing bids from all trades. Proven track record of coordinating subcontractor trades and delivering successful projects. In‑depth knowledge of building codes, health & safety standards, and pre‑construction methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Project and construction project management software (Vista preferred). Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred). $125,000 - $165,000 USD
