PART-TIME LUNCH MONITOR

Location: Kingsland School, Kingsland, Texas Date Posted: 5/6/2026 Date Available: 08/05/2026 Reports To: Principal FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Calendar Days: 176 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (20 hrs/week) Salary Range: $16.28 – $19.45 per hour Position Summary Promote safety and well-being of students as they interact during their lunchtime. Qualifications Education: Completion of high school or GED. Knowledge of basic first aid and training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Knowledge of Kingsland lunchroom behavior standards. Special Knowledge/Skills Understanding of Kingsland's lunchroom behavior standards. Ability to cope with a variety of students in varied situations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of basic first aid. Experience Prefer three months’ experience, preferably with children in a fast-paced environment. Major Responsibilities and Duties Student Interaction Maintain appropriate student safety in the cafeteria. Communicate with students and others in a positive and professional manner. Maintain order in the cafeteria. Maintain cleanliness of tables and other areas of the cafeteria. Working Conditions Physically able to move around the cafeteria and perform duties with efficient speed. Physically able to assist children with opening their lunch items, if needed. Physically able to bend, squat, reach, grasp, and assume other physical positions. Physically able to stand for a long period of time.
