Electrical Engineer

DescriptionKforce has a client in Tucson, AZ that is seeking an Electrical Engineer. This team supports production to resolve issues and keep the hardware builds moving forward.Position Overview:Responsibilities include the ability to make a quick assessment of a problem, identify additional information required, understand the resources available, compare the urgency of the issue to other failures/issues, and to take the understanding of these parts and create a path for troubleshoot and/or correction and final resolution. Then it is required to be able to communicate this plan to a cross functional team with diverse backgrounds. And lastly to continue to drive updates and status of this plan along the way. Key deliverables for this role :* Change documentation preparation and presentation* Hardware troubleshooting* Own and manage an issue project to completion Responsibilities * Resolve production and supplier issues, including troubleshooting and coordinating corrective actions * Maintain and update technical drawings and documentation, including preparing change packages for review boards * Diagnose hardware failures using a range of electronic test equipment and analysis tools * Evaluate defect and yield data to drive process improvements and reduce recurring failures * Collaborate with suppliers, create Statements of Work, and support general electrical engineering activities in production environmentsRequirements* BSEE or equivalent* 5 to 10 years of experience* Experience with digital, analog, RF and/or mixed signal testing and/or debugging complex circuit card assemblies and/or electro-mechanical systems * Experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, power supplies, etc.* Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and BoMs* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Able to solve problems quickly and correctly, communicate effectively across multiple teams, take ownership to see a task to completion in a timely mannerDesired Skills (Nice-to-Have):* Experience supporting production engineering activities involving electrical or mechanical hardware * Background in designing electronic or electro optical subsystems, including circuit design, assembly processes, and fabrication practices * Familiarity with engineering and analysis tools across electrical design, simulation, and measurement domains * Experience with subsystem integration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies * Ability to work independently or within small teams while providing technical guidance, coordination, and project oversightJob TypeContractCompensation60 - $80
