Job Opportunity – Infectious Disease Physician – North Carolina
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with rotating weekend call coverage (5:00 PM Friday – 8:00 AM Monday). Weekend call scheduled 1 week per month initially, with urgent weekend coverage as needed. Schedule will expand to include weekdays in 2027. Mandatory coverage required for weekends of November 6th and November 20th.
Highlights:
- 52-week contract (approximately 1 year) with opportunity for continuity and long-term impact
- Adult patient population with approximately 20 patients per day in inpatient setting
- EMR system: EPIC for streamlined documentation and clinical workflow
- Float between two partner facilities with APP support available at primary location
- Focus on complex infectious disease management including sepsis, osteomyelitis, and endocarditis
- Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Infectious Disease (required)
- Active North Carolina State Medical License (must be in hand prior to start)
- Active DEA certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications current and valid
- Infectious Disease trained with experience in evaluating and managing complex infections
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
- Experience with hospital rounding, consults, and managing ID clinical questions
