Night Shift Machinist

We’re seeking a highly capable Night Shift Machinist to operate, set up, and maintain CNC and/or manual machining equipment that produces components for advanced aerospace systems. Responsibilities Operate and set up CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers with minimal supervision during off-peak hours Interpret detailed aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications Perform accurate first‑article inspections and maintain consistent quality throughout runs Conduct machine offsets, tool changes, and troubleshooting during the night shift Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools for in-process checks Maintain detailed production documentation and follow AS9100/ISO quality processes Collaborate with day-shift teams via clear communication logs to ensure smooth handoffs Contribute to a clean, efficient, and safety‑focused work environment Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred. 1 - 3+ years of machining experience (CNC or manual); aerospace manufacturing is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.). Basic understanding of machining setup and operation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for extended periods. Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work.
