Job Summary: Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for our client in Clinton IL 61727 . This is a 13-week contract assignment. Position Title: Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Location: Clinton IL 61727 Duration: 13 weeks Work Schedule: Primarily Days | Rotating Weekends | Occasional On-Call (5*8) Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Perform a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological laboratory tests following established laboratory procedures. Analyze and report accurate laboratory results to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Perform proficient phlebotomy for patients of all age groups. Maintain compliance with laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements. Operate laboratory equipment and maintain accurate documentation. Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in rotating weekend coverage and occasional on-call responsibilities as needed. To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience] Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related biological science. Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience. Current BLS (AHA) certification. ASCP certification required. Phlebotomy experience is required. Experience performing chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and other routine laboratory testing. Meditech EMR experience is preferred. Strong computer, mathematical, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely perform the physical demands of the role.
