Position Overview The RF Antenna Team at Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. The position is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ. A U.S. citizen with a Secret level clearance is required. The candidate will lead and shape antenna, radome, and antenna measurement system technology, provide technical oversight, delegate tasks, develop technology roadmaps, modernize systems, and mentor others. The role involves working with government personnel and programs and defining and refining hardware compliance requirements. Responsibilities Development of antenna or radome hardware and requirements Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc. Work with antenna manufacturing suppliers Analyze simulation or test data to verify performance to requirements Required Qualifications Tenth–year experience in antenna and related engineering or an advanced degree with eight years of experience, including: Antenna element design and fabrication Antenna simulation and modeling Antenna measurements in near- or far-field systems Preferred Qualifications Master of Science or PhD in electrical engineering Strong experience managing and presenting technical data to stakeholders in design reviews and technical interchange meetings Strong experience designing and delivering conformal antenna designs Excellent communication skills; verbal and written Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive technical execution plans Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork Knowledgeable of management processes such as IPDS and EVMS Experience presenting to FRB, ERB, CCB, MRB Understanding of near-field-to-far-field processing algorithms and ability to design them Understanding of complex threat environments and battlefields Experience designing datalink, flight termination, telemetry, and GPS antenna systems Experience as a Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and other scientific programming languages Proficiency with high performance computing environments and SLURM Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi, GRASP Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $132,400 USD – $251,600 USD.
