The Department of Surgery at University of Utah Health highly values Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) in our clinical operations in both inpatient and ambulatory practice. The Division of General Surgery, Surgical ICU is looking for an Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) who is a patient focused, self-motivated provider who has the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This position is Category I: Mandatory Required on Campus or at Health Care Facilities. Responsibilities Bedside care of critically ill patients in a 12 bed Surgical ICU. Procedures: Based on need, training, and proficiency. Participate in team meetings, education conferences, creation of SICU APC and Resident call schedules, as well as opportunities for research and QI project involvement. Collaborate with multiple team members to ensure the best outcomes possible. Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Preferred: Certification in ACLS / BLS / NRP / ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements.
