Environmental Manager

Environmental Manager responsible for developing, implementing, and managing proactive division‑specific environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including spill prevention and response, air emission control and permitting, storm water control and permitting, wetlands and jurisdictional waters, waste management, community right‑to‑know, endangered species, and cultural resources. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage proactive division‑specific environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations, such as spill prevention and response, air emission control and permitting, storm water control and permitting, wetlands and jurisdictional waters, waste management, mandatory reporting obligations, endangered species stewardship, and cultural resource protection. Promote environmental awareness across all levels of management and field operations. Oversee preparation of all required air and storm water permit applications for complex oil and gas facilities and associated operations, including gas plants, common delivery points, and crude bulk terminals. Advise production operations and facility engineers on air permitting requirements, emission control options, facility design, and compliance documentation. Develop facility response plans and coordinate required spill and crisis response training, as well as conduct due diligence efforts, including phase I and phase II environmental site assessments. Manage multiple on‑going environmental projects, including contracting with environmental consultants and overseeing contract environmental staff. Oversee remediation projects in environmentally sensitive areas and assist in investigating landowner complaints related to environmental matters. Investigate and report spills and other environmental incidents internally and externally as required by law. Attend industry trade group meetings and participate in regulatory development efforts. Coordinate with corporate environmental staff in the development of the S&E management system. Attend field safety meetings to ensure safety and compliance integration. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of oil and gas related environmental experience. Strong technical knowledge and sound judgment. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to work effectively and collaborate with multiple departments within the division.
