Cresthill Academy is looking for a caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Early Childhood Education Teacher to join their premier preschool in East Hanover, NJ. The ideal candidate must be willing to work with children 6-weeks to 5-years-old; as well as be comfortable with diapering and toilet training. This is a Direct Hire position with the school Full-time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment Open Positions Lead Toddler Teacher; working with children 12-months to 18-months old Salary Lead Teachers: $17.00-$22.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience Benefits Health insurance Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance Responsibilities Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities Maintain a clean and organized classroom Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education Qualifications Must be at least 18-years-old REQUIRED Education: CDA, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree; preferably in an education-related field Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations – for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib Must meet background check eligibility Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
