Day Shift Quality TechJohns Manville is hiring a Day Shift Quality Tech!This will be a temp-to hire opportunity.Starting wage for first 90 days will be: $25/ Hour, will go up to $27.23/ hour after you successfully convert over.Schedule: 6AM-6PM (3,2-2,3) Schedule * Off Every Other WeekendSummary of Position:Conduct daily QA tests to ensure finished products meet roofing systems finished product specs. Also, ensure raw materials meet purchasing specs and are in compliance with UL/FM requirements. Maintain all records and interact with UL/FM regulators (inspections).Key Responsibilities:Understand HMIS, MSDS labels and applicationsRead and understand production scheduleUnderstand all company product specifications and quality standardsTrained in Lock, Tag, Clear, Try and how to lockout dry end equipmentEnsure cleaning expectations are metAbility to Train New Employees (Assistant QA Tech)Know where and how all emergency stop operations workWhat to do in an emergency evacuationSigned off on all PJO/JSA's for QA Tech positionAble to perform and maintain all calibrating checks, coordinate with vendors in calibrationsLTCT CertifiedForklift CertifiedKeep saw cutting area clean and orderlyPerform all roofing systems QA Test methods and interpret the resultsPhysical Requirements:Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel and climb ladders and staircases.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to operate mobile equipment.Must be able to work overtime as needed and have a flexible work schedule.Qualifications:At least one year in production environment in similar roleMust be able to read a tape measure accuratelyIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office SuiteStrong Interpersonal SkillsSolid Communication Skills (written/verbal)Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environmentStrong decision making skillsPlease Keep in MindIf you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
