Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position at a Level 1 Trauma center, requiring NC or compact RN licensure and CTICU experience.

Details

• Level 1 Trauma center Cardiothoracic ICU, a 40-bed unit part of the Center for Heart and Vascular Care
• Cares for patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplants, LVAD, ECMO, aortic/thoracic aneurysm repairs, and complex esophageal, thoracic and vascular surgeries
• Night shift, 7:00pm - 7:00am
• 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• CTICU-focused experience required
• Level 1 Trauma center experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive clinical nursing care to complex cardiothoracic ICU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and professional development
• Utilize effective communication systems and promote cost-effective, culturally competent care
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
