Kelso Building Services is looking for a driven and relationship-focused HVAC Sales Specialist to help grow our commercial customer portfolio. In this role, you'll connect with facility managers, business owners, and property professionals to identify HVAC needs, recommend solutions, and support projects from initial conversations through successful completion.

Key ResponsibilitiesDrive New Business Development

• Prospect and engage commercial customers within your assigned territory.
• Build a steady flow of opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry connections.
• Establish and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support revenue growth.

Understand Customer Objectives

• Meet with prospective and existing customers to evaluate facility needs and operational goals.
• Review HVAC equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Offer informed recommendations designed to increase efficiency, reliability, and long-term value.

Prepare Sales Proposals

• Develop customized service agreements, equipment replacement recommendations, and project proposals.
• Create estimates and pricing packages based on customer requirements.
• Present solutions clearly and confidently while addressing questions and concerns.

Support Project Success

• Work closely with installation, service, estimating, and operations teams throughout the sales process.
• Ensure project information is communicated accurately to internal stakeholders.
• Help maintain a smooth customer experience from proposal through project completion.

Strengthen Customer Relationships

• Maintain ongoing contact with customers after project completion.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services and support.
• Build trust through responsiveness, professionalism, and consistent follow-up.

Meet and Exceed Performance Goals

• Consistently pursue revenue and profitability objectives.
• Track opportunities, activities, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
• Evaluate sales performance and adjust strategies to maximize results.

Stay Current on Industry Trends

• Remain knowledgeable about HVAC technologies, energy-efficiency solutions, and emerging industry developments.
• Monitor market activity and competitive offerings to identify growth opportunities.

QualificationsRequired Experience & Skills

• Two or more years of experience in HVAC sales, mechanical services sales, business-to-business sales, or another related field.
• Understanding of commercial HVAC systems, maintenance programs, equipment applications, or building systems.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office products.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the local market.
• Demonstrated success generating leads, developing accounts, and closing business opportunities.
