E-commerce Product Photographer & Stylist

Location Hayward, CA The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and versatile E‑commerce Product Photographer & Stylist to join our collaborative in‑house photography team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about visual storytelling, eager to expand their technical expertise, and excited to contribute across the full creative process—from photography and styling to image retouching and post‑production. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in product photography and is comfortable owning the execution of high‑quality e‑commerce imagery. Experience styling soft goods, including apparel and accessories, is preferred, though candidates with a strong photography background and a desire to further develop their styling skills are encouraged to apply. As photography, content creation, and e‑commerce continue to evolve, we are looking for someone who embraces innovation and remains curious about emerging tools, technologies, and workflows—including AI‑powered solutions that can improve efficiency and creative output. Working both independently, and as a part of a team; you will maintain cross‑functional relationships with studio operational team, marketing team and product team members – aligning with our teams’ operational strategy. Reporting to the Photography Director, this role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and creative development within a team that values collaboration, ownership, technical excellence, and strategic thinking. Responsibilities Independently execute day‑to‑day e‑commerce photography needs, including tabletop and pin‑up photography. Style and photograph products in alignment with brand standards and creative direction. Assist in supporting on‑figure photography productions, e‑commerce production workflows, and marketing asset creation as needed. Retouch imagery using advanced Photoshop techniques, including masking, color correction, compositing, frequency separation (skin and textures), background replacement. Steam, prep, and organize products for photoshoots. Maintain a clean, organized studio environment, including care of photography equipment and basic workstation maintenance. Maintain consistent file naming, organization, and asset management standards. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of studio processes, workflows, and team collaboration. Stay current with industry best practices in photography, lighting, retouching, and emerging AI technologies. What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of professional product photography experience in a studio environment, including proficiency with strobe lighting systems and tethered capture workflows (portfolio required). Demonstrated ability to exercise creative judgment while producing original work with strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Capture One and Adobe Photoshop. Strong understanding of studio lighting, composition, color management, and image quality standards for e‑commerce. Strong communication skills, including the confidence to direct models on set, ask thoughtful questions, understand project objectives, and proactively communicate project status. Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment with evolving priorities. Highly organized, proactive, and self‑motivated, with a curiosity for exploring new ideas, tools, and trends. Experience navigating both established brand environments and lean, growing teams is a plus. Prior product styling experience is a plus, especially with apparel and other soft goods.
