Loader/Blender - Level 1 - Smackover, AR

Job Description

SUMMARY
The Loader / Blender Level1 is primarily responsible for the loading and blending of hydro-treated lube oil products. They assure that all finished lube products are blended, stored and loaded in a safe manner which also ensures conformance to the appropriate specification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work rotating shift work; initial shiftswill be 12 hr rotating day shifts-7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. Company reserves the option to increase to a (4) Man 12 hr rotating swing shift between days and Nights at their discretion.
• Will be required to cover OT for other Blend Specialist and if needed-assist in covering for other Loader-Blenders in their absence or vacancy.
• Compute and blend products based from the Blend-pro program and finished products tank data.
• Gauge and record in the data-base all hydro-treated and additive tanks on a daily basis.
• Record for each occurrence in the data-base all pumping transfers and loading of trucks and railcars.
• Responsible for maintaining tank temperatures, inventories & transferring of product
• Responsiblefor future rail movements to assist and / or be responsible for operation of company rail mover in spotting and movements of railcars on company property.
• Catch required samples of product and additives for lab analysis per SOP's.
• Properly load product into trucks and railcars per SOP's.
• Blend/transfer product and additives from trucks, railcars and tanks to the -designated tanks and maintain the proper temperature for the product.
• Work extended hours when necessary and be able to be called out for emergency work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and maintain good housekeeping within the lube plant office, work area and refinery.
• Inspect and prepare all trucks and railcars prior to loading per SOP's.
• Participate in process and plant design safety reviews, pre-start Safety reviews and operating procedures development & updating
• Assist in preparing, securing and monitoring work area per Safe work permit requirements
• Responsible for training other Loader/Blenders, Blending specialist and development of training program and its' continued maintenance.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE
Requires good computer skills, extensive knowledge of all piping, tank capacities, pumps and equipment at the lube plant, extensive proficiency of product knowledge and able to comprehend and abide by the manufacturing specifications, must have 24 hr. Hazwoper certificate, must be able to calculate blends from the Microsoft Excel Blend-pro program. Must maintain a 3 or better on annual evaluations, must meet a 90% requirement on written evaluation and walk-thru, and must work in a safe orderly manner following all Martin safety, quality and contract policies and comply with all Martin Smackover refinery safety and operating procedures. Will perform all related and required job functions pertaining to the revised railcar loading/unloading and switching processes.
