Job Summary: Salary Negotiable!
Detention Center — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Role: Psychiatrist
Security Level: Jail/Detention | Population: ~1,000–1,200
• Acute psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Crisis stabilization and suicide risk evaluations
• Medication management
• Coordination with mental health, medical, and custody teams
• Typical procedures for Psychiatry:
– Psychiatric diagnostic interviews
– Medication initiation and management
– Crisis intervention
– Suicide risk assessment and safety planning
– Treatment planning
– Competency/fitness evaluations (as required)
• 12–15 patient encounters/day
