We are working with a client who is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Agent to join their team in the San Bernardino area. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for working with internal customers and external vendors, ensuring timely creation and placement of POs, receipt of POs, and reconciliation of POs . This position reports directly to the Operations Process Manager. This is a direct hire position that would be in office 5 days a week from 8am-5pm. No sponsorship is available. No B2C/C2C. Must live in the Los Angeles area. No relocation provided. Responsibilities and Duties: Purchase goods and services according to the company’s policy and procedures. Creates and issues purchases orders in a timely manner. Follow up with suppliers and vendors regarding lead times, shipping delays and communicate to internal teams. Deals with supplier when variations arise in delivery, quality, price or condition of material. Reconciliation of trade/exchange purchases. Data entry of material information with accuracy. Supports the development and implementation of purchasing procedures/strategies and sequence of operations within department to optimize workflow. Works with internal customers. Primarily with the sales department, senior management and inventory control. Ensures timely and accurate documentation of materials and goods received. Maintains accurate records of all transactions, including receipts, invoicing, payments, and pricing history. Prepares reports, spreadsheets and other documentation as directed. Provides purchasing and receiving support for multiple locations. Notifies supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards or operational concerns. Qualifications and Skills: 3+ years of purchasing experience Warehousing/Storage or Manufacturing experience needed NetSuite and/or other purchasing system experience Proficient with Excel Process and procedure experience The ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment Analytical, creative and out of the box thinker and problem solver Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs #J-18808-Ljbffr
